Resident Assistants (RAs) are advisors and role models that serve as an important liaison between students and the University. Serving as an RA provides students numerous opportunities for personal and professional development as well as substantial leadership experience. RAs contribute to students’ experiences by:

Attend one of the following RA info sessions. Join our professional staff members and current RAs to learn more about the RA position, the selection process, and all of the fun we have together on staff! (Please note: it is not required that you attend an info session to apply, but it is strongly encouraged.)
The application and one reference form must be submitted by Friday, November 30, 2018 at 5:00pm. Candidates are responsible for directing their reference to the online reference form.
Please note: applicants must possess a 2.75 minimum GPA. Additionally, Student Conduct violations will be taken into consideration during the selection process.
3. ENGAGE—Participate in the Selection Process
Complete the 3-Week RA Workshop that runs January 21 through February 8, 2019. The workshop focuses on developing skills that students will need in the RA position. It includes out-of-workshop observations and assignments, group activities, discussions, and readings surrounding community building, diversity, and leadership.
Following completion of workshop, successful RA candidates will be invited to participate in individual interviews. Interviews will take place the week of February 11, 2019 during applicants’ workshop times. Candidates will be notified of hire decisions by Monday, March 4, 2019.
